TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

FCEE comprises 13 programs, offering education in the undergraduate (S1) and graduate (S2 & S3) levels and contributes to the provision of qualified and highly competitive graduates through the delivery of state of the art courses and programs which anticipate the fast development of science and technology in the above mentioned fields.

FrontlineFrontline research and problem solving community services are carried out by all FCEE academic staff in 10 research groups, i.e. (1) Structural Engineering, (2) Geotechnical Engineering, (3) Water Resources Engineering, (4) Transportation Engineering, (5) Construction Engineering & Management, (6) Coastal Engineering, (7) Offshore Engineering, (8) Water & Waste water Engineering, (9) Air & Waste Management, (10) Environmental Management Technology.

InIn order to provide an opportunity for international professionals and researchers to learn, share and exchange the latest development and research in Civil, Environmental, and Ocean engineering, FCEE has organized the International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure and Built Environment (SIBE) every 4 years since 2009.

InIn collaboration with Hokkaido University of Japan and National Taiwan University of Taiwan, the First International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure and Built Environment was held on November 2-3, 2009 (SIBE-2009) in Bandung. The Second International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure and Built Environment (SIBE-2013) was held on November 19-20, 2013. The Third International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure and Built Environment (SIBE-2017) is being prepared now and planned to be held September 26-27, 2017.

TheThe Faculty of Civil & Environmental Engineering (FCEE) ITB carries out education, research, and community services in the fields of civil engineering, ocean engineering, and environmental engineering. The common interest of these activities is the development of sustainable infrastructure and built environment which are the basic requirements to improve the quality of life.quality of life.

The objectives of SIBE-2017 are:

• To provide a platform for exchange of ideas and information among academics, researchers, consultants, engineers, manufacturers and post graduate scholars in civil, ocean, and environmental engineering;

•• To discuss and evaluate the past and present approaches, innovative technologies, policies, and new directions in infrastructure development, pollution prevention, and eco-friendly technologies adapted to developing countries;

• To promote cooperation and networking amongst practitioners and researchers involved in addressing infrastructure and built environment issues.

TheThe first SIBE was successfully accomplished its objectives on November 2-3, 2009 in Bandung, Indonesia. The Second SIBE was also a successful event accomplished on November 19-20, 2013.

WeWe herewith invite industries, organizations, research institutions, and government agencies that are related to the development of sustainable infrastructure and built environment to participate in this conference.
