SECTION A: WRITING
Write between 120 and 250 words in Spanish in response to the following task. Write a letter to your Spanish friend giving details about your school day. You should include:
A description of your school
Information about a typical day in your school
What your favourite subject is and why
What you did at school yesterday and what you thought of it
What activities you will do at school next week [30 marks]

A. Answer this section on a fresh sheet, which you must label clearly with your full name. Write a single word which would fit coherently into the numbered gap. You should only write the number and the missing word, not the whole sentence, e.g.

un sábado cualquiera, sino el primero de las vacaciones de verano. Genial. ¡Un

llegar por la avenida principal, o atravesando el campo, pero nosotros preferimos
ir por el campo puesto que es mucho más bonito. Todos llevábamos los
bañadores y las toallas. ¡Nos moríamos de ganas de llegar a la piscina y meternos
en el agua!

Echamos a correr, pero al alcanzar la [13] de la piscina vi el
letrero. En la entrada [14] edificio había un cartel escrito en
grandes letras rojas con la palabra maldita: CERRADO. Vimos una notita justo

arreglos y reformas necesarios, esta piscina permanecerá cerrada
indefinidamente”. ¡Qué desilusión!...

“A continuación relataré la historia de Mich Douglas….
¿(1) ______ es Mich Douglas?, te preguntarás… Bueno, él era la estrella de Rock más
aclamada por el público (2) _______ ya algunos años, (3) ______ la gente le adoraba.
Sus canciones relataban cosas de su vida y el público se identificaba con (4)______.
Mich (5) _______ en un pequeño pueblo llamado Valengia, sus padres (6) _______
contables y desde que él (7) ______ muy pequeño tenía el sueño de (8) ______ una
superestrella de Rock.
Mientras Mich iba creciendo poco a (9) ______ se ganaba fama entre los (10) ______

Todo exceso es malo, y Mich o señor. Doug se hartó de tanta atención, por lo que

rock que tanto aclamaba la gente, ni por supuesto podía resolver más crímenes.
