Each cooking team will be limited to maximum of five (5) persons. 2. Each team will have a Head Chef who will be responsible for cooking not less than three (3) gallons of chili. More provides a better chance at the receiving more votes. First Prize: $150.00 Second Prize: $100.00 Third Prize: $50.00 By entering the chili cook-off, you are agreeing to follow all the chili cook-off requirements, rules & regulations. Contact Don Stover at sewy@midco.net if you have any questions. 3. Each team must supply all ingredients, utensils and accessories necessary to cook their chili. Outdoor grills and cooking are permitted; however, electricity is not available. 4. Chili may not be dispensed to the public before 10:00 AM. 5. Each team must agree to official rules and regulations. 6. Preparations will take place from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. (arrive after 7:30 am) 7. Check in with the committee chair (Don Stover) upon arrival. 8. All voting ends at 1:00 PM.

Chili Cook-off Official Rules and Regulations

1. Chili may be prepared in advance or cooked on site, your choice.

2. Regular commercial chili powder is permissible, but complete commercial chili mixes are not permitted. Thickeners such as corn meal, flour etc., are permissible.

3. Each team will provide all ingredients, utensils and accessories necessary to cook and serve chili. This includes water for cooking, cook stoves and fuel. Outside cooking is allowed; however, electricity is not available. Quiet generators are allowed. 4. Each head chef will be responsible for cooking not less than three (3) gallon of chili. NOTE: More than

three gallons of chili is encouraged for winning People's Choice Award. 5. Cooking and set-up will take place at the Nemo Guest Ranch from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. You may begin serving your chili for the People's Choice Award at 10 am. The public will come to your stand with a cup and spoon. 6. At no time should you leave cooking chili unattended (for safety and integrity reasons). 7. People's Choice awards are determined by how many votes are received from the public. The more chili you make the more votes you are likely to get. (stretch your chili out, serve conservatively) The highest number of public votes will determine the winners. Voting ends at 1:00 PM.

8. All cooking must be done in a sanitary manner. Conditions are subject to inspection by the officiating team. Failure to comply is subject to disqualification of the team.

* Note - The Shriner chili teams present, will be competing among themselves for a traveling trophy. There will be no cash prizes for the Shriners. squalification of the team.
