The Government of Navarra has devoted a
great deal of effort to the integration,
management and dissemination of
information concerning the territory of Navarra
The goal is to promote e-government and
the regional business initiatives
13-16 February 2006CORP 2006
Navarre was lacking aSpatial Data Infrastructure:
There was no catalogue of spatial data with its relative metadata.
Though SITNA had a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) used for integration with e-Government initiatives, O.G.C services were not included at the very beginning
13-16 February 2006CORP 2006
IDENA is the answer of the Territorial
Information System of Navarre (SITNA) to
the INSPIRE (INfrastructure for SPatial
InfoRmation in Europe) and IDEE
(Infrastructure for Spatial Information in
Spain) requirements for promoting the
harmonization, dissemination and use of
spatial data.
13-16 February 2006CORP 2006
IDENA is defined by these parameters:
The principles of the INSPIRE proposal for a EU directive
The framework defined by IDEE (Spanish Spatial Data Infrastructure)
Its development as a SITNA component, in order to facilitate a standardized and interoperable access to the geographic information of Navarre
13-16 February 2006CORP 2006
GOALS:
To provide the user with a set of procedures and tools on the web for
searching, identifying and retrieving the territorial information allowing
interoperability with other SDIs.
To standardize the treatment of metadata for the available information
in SITNA.
To place SITNA inside the SDI space, contributing to the development
of INSPIRE, IDEE and any other cooperation initiative that could be
considered.
