Annual Masonic Barbeque Cook-off

Rules & Regulations:
1. All Teams will consist of a Head Cook and no more than 4 team members for a maximum of 5 on each team.
2. Only Texas Masonic Lodges and appendent bodies will be eligible for competition.
3. All team members must represent the same lodge or body. 4. Check-in time will begin the Friday before Family Day at 12 noon. 5. Inspection of all raw Brisket meats will be at check-in time. 6. No pre-seasoning or pre-cooking Brisket allowed. Any and all meats that
may be entered into judging will be cooked from scratch within the constraints of the event. Marinating and cooking is to be done after check-in and set-up.
7. No gas or electric BBQ cookers allowed. 8. All fires must be in containers, not on the ground. 9. No food sales or samples are to be given to the general public. 10. No alcoholic beverages allowed. 11. Competition will begin after 5:00 pm on the Friday before Family Day 12. There will be a mandatory cook’s meeting at 8:00 am on the Saturday
morning of Family Day. Head cook must attend. 13. Turn in time for judging will be at 12:00 pm Saturday of Family Day 14. There will be a 10 minute window before and after the stated turn-in
times. The Head Judge has the official time. 15. Awarding of prizes will be Saturday of Family Day beginning at 3 pm. 16. The Texas Masonic Family Day officials reserve the right to make
additional regulations as situations warrant. Decisions of the Committee and Judges will be final.
