Imam Omar Suleiman is The Founder and President of Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research and Adjunct Professor of Islam-ic Studies in the graduate liberal studies program at Southern Methodist Universi-ty. He is also the Resident Scholar at Val-ley Ranch Islamic Center, and Co-Chair of Faith Forward Dallas at Thanks-Giving Square.
Imam Omar Suleiman is currently pursu-ing a Ph.D. in Islamic Thought and Civili-zation.

Carla Power is Pulitzer nominated author and journalist specializing in Muslim so-cieties, global social issues and culture, the author of ‘If the Oceans Were Ink: An Unlikely Friendship and a Journey to the Heart of the Quran’ (Henry Holt, 2015)*. The book is an account of her year spent studying with the traditional Islamic scholar Sheikh Mohammad Akram Nadwi. She currently writes for Time and other publications, and is a former corre-spondent for Newsweek.
