Its 6:45 p.m., lights are glistening and reporters are listening as of her client, CEO of Nestle Waters, stands at the podium, excited, yet afraid to introduce the new acquisition of the company at UFC press conference. With
closing remarks, his PR representative wraps up the press conference with an invitation to interview him. This is a typical workday for Catherina Davidson. At 28, Davidson is the youngest employee of Digital Video Link (DVL) Public Relations and Advertising agency in Nashville, TN, which describes itself as the most widely seen PR agency in the United States. Supremely talented, always memorable, equally at ease in writing press materials or putting together a press conference, Davidson is able to transform herself from housewife to tireless worker to deliver her client’s message efficiently and professionally. As exciting as it is, it can also be overwhelming. "It is surprising that I was able to go straight into a company at 26 years old, she admitted, “but it is also more work and more pressure being young because everyone else has so much more experience." Davidson is a mother of two daughters, and a consummate worker who has assisted clients since her first job in 2003.
# # #
In 2009, Davidson was a freshman studying Mass Communications, with aspirations of gaining a bachelor’s degree. With restlessness being her “go to quote,” she applied for internships on campus and volunteered for many student organizations and programs that were offered. The genuine focus was not there until she started taking PR and advertising classes for her core requirements. During her sophomore year, Davidson became vice president for PRSSA at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). She created and maintained MTSU PRSSA website, worked with other officers to plan events and lead chapter meetings and workshops. Upon graduation, Davidson decided to extend her profession by working as an assistant account executive at DVL Public Relations & Advertising agency. Her duties consist of essential familiarity on social websites where she promote events, sending out communication news about her client, and vehicle monthly newsletters and content on websites. Through commonalities and required work ethics, Davidson said, “she detests bad PR representation, such as practitioners posting inappropriate content, having a stance on a political statement or deleting comments on social networks.” These are things she considers social media suicide. Davidson was verified to be generous, poise, aggressive, zealous and most importantly hard-working as one of the best in this cut throat industry. She is a definite role model and exemplifies characteristics like no other.

The Higgins-Lourenço began when Luis Lourenço married Margret Higgins. Thus, began or originated the Higgins-
Lourenço family reunion group which held its first reunion in Pocono Mountain, Greene, PA on Labor Day weekend, Sept. 6, 1958. With the marriage of Luis and Margret an
understanding was established that the Higgins- Lourenço family reunion group would include all ancestors, children, siblings, family members, and descendants of these two individuals. Numerous relatives have increase this core
base through marriage, birth, adoption, and relationships. We are inclusive. Let’s celebrate ALL our family connections at our 56th consecutive reunion in colorful Colorado that represent a colorful family made up of
different origins.
President’s comment
Maude Lourenço said,
“We pride ourselves on bridging the gap between the older and
younger generations to keep the memories of our past ancestors alive.
“For 55 years, we brought our family together through a series of events. This past April, we had two hundred family members come out to commemorate the
late Margret Higgins who started it all. As a family, we will continue to keep these memories alive for the new generation to come.”
