I believe to be a LCP can develop my logic and strategic think. Also, I’m attempting to apply MCMB next term, so I would like to take this opportunity to cultivate my leadership and management skill, which is also related

to my future career.

Also, during the period I have been in WZLC, I saw this organization grown more stable and powerful gradually… We have been to less ten people commit and willing to work for our LC, and so many obstacles while we driving our project, but we survive, and even stronger! I truly believe with all the members we cultivated together and the passion we have that we can

make all of us, WZLC, toward the best!

What are your milestones or turning points of your life?

What are your strengths and weaknesses and how can you contribute to LCP role?

Life turning point of this year!

Until now, for me, the life turning point of this year would be in my VPTM term. It’s the very first time I run a position as a LC leader, a local committee representative for TM. I have known a group of people that I would never forget: my LC EB team and national TM team. We have been through a great working time together that built who I am today. I learned how to think widely and horizontally during this term so far. I also take a national project from MC which is National EB team recruitment to improve myself as a national organization driver. After all these months, I see things differently. I become more critical and strategic thinking. And I believe with these training and skill, I can be a qualified leader to lead our LC to the brighter future.

Milestone

The very first time I experienced “leadership” is while I was in senior high school. I was selected to be the president of school student association. I had to lead a group of people (amount 30) that from different department and professional background. It’s kind of freaking me out! I have no idea how to manage them or works we have to work…but after a year, I learned so much from our coach, every member of this association and most importantly, this leadership experience. We accomplished cross-school musical feat which connected more than four school clubs and bands, also held some public speeches and sport competition in our school. All these experiences change my view and life. And that’s why I’ll join AIESEC and decided to apply for LCP. After I joined AIESEC, I am really lucky to go exchange in the first term. While I’m doing exchange, I used the knowledge and skills that I have learned in AIESEC to cultivate more youth in Ukraine. I have taught more than 100 students from 10~18 years old. For different level of students, I have to change my teaching plan again and again until to the most understandable for them. Because of my great efforts and passion, the local AIESECers even invited me to be the facilitator for their regional conference and public event representative of AIESEC in Taiwan. It was really an honor to have this experience in exchange and I have also learned a lot from it! After I was back to Taiwan, I even heard some of my students have joined AIESEC because they have got the inspiration from my session! It was one of my unforgettable memories and milestone of my life.

Please describe your leadership style. What is your ideal EB team culture and how can you create it?

I believe my leadership style is similar to a legendary leader of three-

kingdom period — Tsao Cao(Cao Cao). Except for daring to lead a team

in a chaos period and willing to learn and develop self-skills all the time. Most importantly, I am also a fast learner and a strategic leader that can guide my team to the right direction. Though I might have a little bit tough and impulsive sometimes, an ambitious mind of success can ease my weakness and learn how to do the right behave.

Also, according to the leadership style test, I am piled to be a delegative and supportive leader that willing to delegation and be helpful for my team member or teammates. To sum up my personality and past experience, I want to create a comfortable learning and effective working culture next term. Comfortable learning part means that I want to create an environment that everyone can talk and give opinion which we can co-discuss and be supportive to each other while we are planning and meeting. On the other hand, in effective working part, I’ll focus on coaching and tracking each other by virtual platform and office board. In that case, we can have more time to have training or strategic discussing in EBM.

Our current X function performance this term so far is quite stable and promising. But according to the original plan, both exchange function still got some problems. In OGX side, from raise to realize has a clear drop. In ICX side, though the performance is match, but the reality didn’t follow pipeline or plan. To figure out the clear strategic movement for 1213, I would like to implement “team plan” to every single team to reinforce each project management and execution. (Team plan is a template that can monitor whole team’s process and performance.) Also focus on product marketing and packaging to enhance our performance need.

On the other hand, on support function side, in member development part is well-development status. We have stable leadership pipeline and development system, but to GLP part didn’t go with our plan. GLP concept implementation is mainly to MB, but didn’t on the great track. So far, I think the proper way to solve this problem would be working on returnee and newbie of spring recruitment. In future movement, it’s important to have a concrete GLP flow implement and management to stabilize GLP pipeline.

What is your understanding of AIESEC 2015?

From the organization original the AIESEC Way, to achieve our vision– Peace and the fulfillment of Humankind’s Potential, we set a mid-term goal for us to catch that makes us more close to the final vision. That’s how our BHAG be created” Engage and develop every young person in the world.” Also, AIESEC 2015 statement shows our common picture of our mid-term ambition for our organization: to be credible global youth voice, cross-sector first choice partner, and cross-generation positive impact. With those entire concepts, a more solid direction for organization was created. Start to identify our roles and our drivers, make all entities be more convergent and collaborative.

How can AIESEC WZLC contribute to 1213 AIESEC in Taiwan and AIESEC 2015? Please list down some concrete action.

With our next vision, AIESEC WZLC is your first choice partner and providing the worthiest developing experience, and our focus strategic movement: Provide Best ELP Experience and Engage and develop every sector of AIESEC. Some concrete action like PR event held based on external, other LC collaboration and LC program evolution for more program taker. Based on action above, we can engage and develop more people because of AIESEC which can align both AIESEC Taiwan and AIESEC 2015 BHAG.
