the art world

2. Make some friends

LinkedIn, Facebook, Flickr,

Twitter, etc.

3. Connect with old friends

Study their methods.

Collaborate on new ideas

Let them critique your work.

4. Say Hi to your mom.

Your family will talk passionately

about your work.

...if it gets you out of their

house.

5. Get with the times, New Roman

Who is our secretary of state?

Read a damn newspaper and

learn about current events.

6. F##k Email Templates

Stand out by researching a

person before writing emails.

7. Feed the ego stomach

Take successful artists out

to lunch & talk about their

work.

8. Be Controversial

No one want’s to hire a fluffball

or a boring robot

9. Pitch the Dream

Pitch your ideas at galleries

hosting art similar to yours

10. Know when to fold em'

You can’t win them all. Unless

your last name is Norris

11. Talk to Everyone

Get to know hiring managers,

production assistants & even

interns at studios.

12. Love Your Work

If you don’t, no one else will.
