“Prepare a batch of Richly Delicious Fudge Brownie Mix (#1824) as directed and add ½ cup of sour cream along with the water and egg. Sprinkle

the bottom of a sprayed Bundt pan with chopped nuts, chocolate chips and mint chips. Pour ½ of the batter in and sprinkle more nuts, etc. Top with

remaining batter and sprinkle with more nuts and chips. Bake at 350°F for about 70 minutes. Drizzle with red and green mint holiday frosting and

melted chocolate. Makes a rich ‘gourmet’ cake. Great for a brunch or just with a glass of cold milk!!”

“When I was a teenager, a good friend of our family made delicious ‘spoon donuts’ when we were

camping. I decided to try some with Golden Cake Donut Mix (#4912). Everything was made the same

as directed except I dropped walnut-sized spoonfuls of the dough into 360°F oil and cooked them until

the centers were done. They brown easily so turn often. They are quite fragile. I carefully drained and

glazed them or rolled in Cinnamon French Toast Sugar (#1536). Yummy and way past delicious!”

“How about a crème puff wreath for the holidays using Luscious Éclair and Crème Puff Mix

(#4914)? Mix a batch as directed placing the crème puffs on parchment paper in a circle touching

each other. Bake at 400°F for 15 min., reduce temp to 300°F and bake for 45 more min. (If you

think they are done, wait 5 more minutes!) Remove and carefully cut the top off and take out any

‘wet’ fibers inside. Cool. Fill with anything you desire.”

One of our most versatile seasoning blends, Onion Soup & Dip Mix (#1845) can be used in a variety of recipes. It’s often combined with sour

cream for a much-loved onion dip for chips and vegetables, but I use it frequently for flavoring beef and poultry recipes. It adds the perfect blend of flavors to pot roast, beef stew, or turkey breast. I mix ¼ cup of it with 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1 small can tomato sauce to flavor beef stew in the slow cooker.
