On October 16 the annual “Betrayal Redeemed” conference was held at Moun-
tain Park Church in Lake Oswego. This conference is specifically for women who
have or are experiencing the emotional trauma of a spouse who has betrayed
them. Over 120 women were in attendance at this day long conference where
they heard Georgia tell her story of recovery and how God is a redeeming God.
She also presented two workshops on Self Care and Co-Dependence. Her key-
note address was met with rave reviews. “Best Speaker Ever” was a response
that was heard more than once. Obviously Dennis is writing this as Georgia
would never “blow her own horn”.
Georgia serves as part of the planning team that presents this conference every
year and she was privileged this year to be invited to speak by the rest of the
team. She also was able to offer her two books, Making a Quilt out of Cobwebs and Wounded Traveler: Devotions for
the Journey. This was in addition to offering her line of greeting cards and book marks.
Dennis was also able to participate in the conference by serving
on a panel of four men who have been in recovery from sexual
addiction issues for several years and were able to answer ques-
tions submitted anonymously by the ladies in attendance.
