1. Thoroughly clean the trunk lid to remove grease, fingerprints,

wax, etc. from the surface.

2. Align the E&G rear spoiler onto the trunk lid, making sure that it is

perfectly centered and the mounting flanges are resting naturally

against the surfaces of the trunk lid. There should be no gaps

anywhere greater than 1/16”.

3. Use masking tape to keep the spoiler properly aligned.

4. Apply 3/4” wide masking tape flush against the forward edge of

the spoiler as shown.

TOOLS REQUIREDGrease and wax remover, 3/4” automotive grade masking tape, adhesive promoter, non-acidic silicone or

urethane sealer, tape measure, grease pencil and soft, clean cloths.

5. Apply 3/4” masking tape flush against the lower edge of the

spoiler as shown, including across the surface of the trunk

mounted brake light.

6. Remove the masking tape applied in Step 3. Make sure you do

not distrub the masking tape applied in Step 4.

7. Remove the spoiler from the trunk lid.

8. Using a tape measure, measure back an additional 1/8” from the

tape applied to the trunk mounted brake light and mark the brake

light with a grease pencil every 3” to 4”.

9. Apply additional masking tape even with the grease pencil marks

made in the previous step.

10. Apply an adhesive promoter to the inside edges of the masking

tape. IMPORTANT: Do not get any adhesive promoter on any

paint that will not be covered by the spoiler as it will stain the

paint.

11. Install the supplied .045” x 1/2” double faced tape to the mount-

ing brackets as shown.


12. Peel off a small portion of the double faced tape applied to the

bottom of the brackets and align them into place as shown. Line

up the surface of the double faced tape with the edge of the

masking tape.

13. Once the brackets are in proper alignment, finish pulling off the

double faced tape backing and press the brackets firmly into

place to set the tape.

14. Wipe the inside surfaces of the mounting flanges with an adhe-

sive promoter and install the supplied .045” x 3/4” double faced

tape as shown to the inside surfaces of the mounting flanges.

15. Remove the protective masking tape from the top of the trunk lid

only. Leave the bottom masking tape on to aid in alignment.

16. Apply a large dab of non-acidic silicone or urethane to the

outer edges of the trunk lid, approximately 4” in from each end.

17. Peel off the double faced tape backing from the brackets in

stalled on the trunk mounted brake light.

18. Apply an adhesive promoter to the inside surface of the spoiler that corresponds to the location where the brackets mounted tothe trunk mounted brake.

19. Peel back a small portion of all sections of the double faced tapebacking and make sure that they are accessable once thespoiler is in place.

20. Make sure all peeled back edges of the double faced tape back-

ing are protruding out from underneath the spoiler. Carefully

align the spoiler onto the trunk lid, making sure that the spoiler

is perfectly centered and pushed forward to engage the brake

light mounting brackets.


21. Carefully pull off the double faced tape backings. 22. Press the spoiler firmly onto the trunk lid to set the tape. Wipe off

any silicone or urethane that might squeeze out from underneath

the spoiler.

23. Remove the remaining masking tape to finish.
