DAY 03 - 18 NOV (MON) - CAIRO LUXOR

This early morning, proceed to the airport for our flight to Luxor.

Flight:

Luxor, also called El-Aksur, is the site of the Ancient Egyptian city of Thebes. Luxor has frequently been characterized as the “world’s greatest open-air museum”, as the ruins of the temple complexes stand within the modern city. Upon arrival, we tour the Karnak Temple, one of the two iconic sites on the East Bank of Luxor before check in to our hotel for some rest.

In the late afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum which houses a collection of masterpieces of pharaonic art as well as examples of everyday objects found in the area of ancient Thebes. Enjoy an excursion to the Luxor Temples right before sunset. The graceful temple complex is constructed approximately 1400 BCE, dedicated to the God Amun.

DAY 02 - 17 NOV (SUN) - CAIRO

This early morning tour the majestic Giza Plateau. The world famous Great pyramid, together with its neighboring pyramid of Mycerinus and Chefren forms the only survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Explore the interior of one of these legendary pyramids unveil the mysterious secret of the pharaohs. Continue discover the beauty of the Great Sphinx, a lion bodied and human headed sphinx. It is one of the largest monolith statues in the history of mankind. The morning excursion ends with a visit to the Solar Boat Museum.

After lunch, drive to Saqqara, site of the great necropolis of Memphis. It was the capital of the ancient kingdom and now home to an open-air museum and a giant statue of Ramses II.

Return to your hotel and enjoy an early welcome dinner.

DAY 04 - 19 NOV (TUE) - CRUISING IN NILE RIVER | LUXOR

Enjoy a leisure morning before transfer to your 5-star deluxe Nile cruise boat. Visit Karnak and Luxor Temple as the largest ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River. In the evening, enjoy a cocktail reception hosted by the Boat Manager who will review your cruise program for the upcoming days. Complimentary cocktail and a selection of canapés will be served followed by a gourmet dinner. Overnight on board docked at Luxor.

DAY 05 - 20 NOV (WED) - CRUISING IN NILE RIVER | LUXOR - ESNA

After breakfast we will explore West bank valley of Kings, King Tut’s tomb, Ramses “the six”, Dier Elmadina, Habu and colossus of Memnon.

Lunch and afternoon tea will be served on board.

Enjoy an easy afternoon on the deck while sailing to Esna.



DAY 06 - 21 NOV (THU) - CRUISING IN NILE RIVER | ESNA - EDFU - KOM OMBO

This morning, cruise to Edfu during breakfast. We will visit the extraordinary Temple of Edfu. Enjoy lunch and afternoon tea on board, while you continue cruising to Komombo. In the afternoon, visit the twin Temple of Komombo. The cruise is going to dock at Kom Ombo for the overnight.


DAY 07 - 22 NOV (FRI) - CRUISING IN NILE RIVER | KOM OMBO - ASWAN

Navigate towards Aswan, about 48km south of Kom Ombo. Visit the Temple of Philae, which has been entirely moved to the island of Algikia during the construction of the high barrage. Next, we proceed to the the High Dam. At the dam site is a small pavilion with displays detailing the dimensions and the construction of the dam; on the western side is a monument honoring Soviet-Egyptian friendship and cooperation. After lunch, visit Nubian Museum on motor boat.

Tonight, enjoy a gala dinner on board.


DAY 09 - 24 NOV (SUN) - ASWAN CAIRO

Wake up early in the morning and fly to Cairo.

Flight:

Upon arrival, visit the Egyptian Museum to see the enormous collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Check in your hotel for some rest.

In the afternoon, explore the Islamic Cairo. Start our walking tour with a visit the citadel of Salah-el-Din and Mohamed Ali Mosque in the Old City of Cairo. Continue to the Ibn Tulun Mosque with an open interior. After that, visit Sultan Hassan Mosque which was finished in 1363 and also contains a mausoleum. Spend some time to explore the oldest bazaar in Cairo, the Khan-el-Khalili, where you can shop for souvenirs.

DAY 08 - 23 NOV (SAT) - ASWAN | ABU SIMBEL TEMPLE | ASWAN

Disembark from the cruise in the morning and take a short flight to Abu Simbel, site of two temples built by the Egyptian king Ramses II. In ancient times the area was at the southern frontier of pharaonic Egypt, facing Nubia. The four colossal statues of Ramses in front of the main temple are spectacular examples of ancient Egyptian art. By means of a complex engineering feat in the 1960s, the temples were salvaged from the rising waters of the Nile River caused by erection of the Aswan High Dam.

In the afternoon, return by flight to Aswan and visit a Nubian house. Enjoy a home cooking local late lunch before we check in to our hotel for rest.

DAY 10 - 25 NOV (MON) - CAIRO

Today, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (newly opened in mid-2018), Egypt’s largest museum and largest archaeological museum in the world. It houses 5,000 objects in King Tut’s tomb will be displayed for the first time, together with other 50,000 ancient Egyptian artefact.

Evening, enjoy the spectacular light and sound show at the Pyramids.
