    Dairy Recipes2 cups our1 tsp. baking powder1/4 tsp. salt1/2 cup butter1/3 cup milk2 Tbsp. sugar

    In large bowl, place our, baking pow-der, salt and sugar. Cut in butter like for pie crust. Add milk to make soft dough. Press into 9x13 pan or roll out. Press half way up the sides. Then press about three cups of apples into dough. Sprinkle with one cup sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

    Old Fashioned Apple Kuchen

    Oh, No Mess Lasagna

    1 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. pepper1 qt. spaghetti sauce12 oz. raw lasagne noodles1 lb. raw hamburger1 1/2 cup hot water1/2 large raw onion, minced1 cup cottage cheese8 slices American cheese8 oz. shredded mozzarella1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

    Mix salt and pepper into sauce. Pour 1 1/2 cup sauce into a 9x13 inch, or

    a little larger, pan. Add a layer of noo-dles. Add half of meat in small chunks. Sprinkle with onion and spoon on cot-tage cheese. Pour on another 1 1/2 cups sauce. Add another layer of noodles, then a layer of American cheese. Next, the rest of the hamburger in small chunks. Pour on remaining sauce. Sprin-kle mozzarella cheese over. Press down with hands. Pour hot water evenly over all. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over. Cover with foil. Bake at 375 degrees for one hour. Remove foil and bake 45 minutes longer. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serves 12.

    Peanut Buster Dessert

    1 lb. chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed1 cup butter, divided1 cup peanutsHalf gallon ice cream2/3 cup chocolate chips2 cups powdered sugar1 - 15 oz. can evaporated milk

    Crush cookies, mix with 1/2 cup but-ter. Press into 9x13 pan. Chill. Cut ice cream and lay on crust and freeze. Pour on peanuts. For the sauce, melt 1/2 cup butter, chocolate chips. Add powdered sugar and milk. Stir con-stantly while it boils 8 minutes. Cool to warm. Pour sauce over ice cream and nuts. Freeze and store in freezer.

    Baked Apples with Cinnamon Yogurt Topping

    4 Granny Smith or Gala apples (with or without skin)1/4 cup unsweetened apple juice or apple cider1/4 cup brown sugar2 tablespoons cornstarch1/2 teaspoon cinnamon1/4 teaspoon nutmeg1/4 teaspoon salt

    For yogurt topping:2 1/2 cups low-fat plain yogurt1 tablespoon honey1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8x8-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray; set aside. Core

    and thinly slice apples. Place apples in a medium bowl and toss with apple juice. Mix brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt together in small bowl. Sprinkle over apples and stir gently un-til apples are coated. Pour apples into prepared baking dish. Bake 40 minutes or until apples are slightly browned at edges and sauce is bubbling.For the cinnamon yogurt topping: Line a colander with several paper towels and place over a bowl to catch drips. Pour yogurt into colander and allow to drain, refrigerated, about 30 minutes. Spoon yogurt into a small bowl and stir in honey and cinnamon.For each serving, top 1/4 of the warm apples with 1/4 of the yogurt topping.
