The African Games began to be accomplished in

1965, in Brazzaville (Congo) and soon they won of

the International Olympic Committee the status of

continental multi-sporting event, as well as the Asian

Games and Americans Games.

But unlike these two events, the African Games

suffered and it suffers until today with theeconomical and social problems for the which pass

the countries of the black continent.

canceled or postponed because of problems in the

The following competition, Wednesday of the

history went being postponed for about one decade.

Foreseen for 1983 in Kenya, it was postponed for

1985 and finally accomplished in the capital Nairobi

in the year of 1987, when finally the Pan-Africans

entered in an era of stability.

Mozambique had the privilege to organizing 10th

Pan-African Games, and it will be the third time to

be accomplished in the south area of Africa. Zambia

was initially granted to host the event, but the

government has withdraw its to offer to host the

2011 All Africa Games due to lack of funds.

To accomplish the event many investments had to be

done in several areas, mainly in sport infrastructures.

The Stadium of Zimpeto was the main stadium of theAfrican games built recently by the Chineses. Other

infrastructures were built like Olympic swimming

pool and the olympic village of Zimpeto and it had

been rehabilitated many sport fields to welcomegames of the several modalities.

Due to tourists' entrance wanting to attend the games

the government collected incomes, because the event

itself is very expected and many people want to be

there to support their selections.

The accomplishment of the African games creates a

lot of expectation in the society sees that the

members of this they hope the event is very

organized, they hope a lot of people attend, there be

a lot of emotion in the games and much more.

Because and one moment that each country have to

show the best of they sport.

The built infrastructures are part of benefits

which the society has the pleasure to use. The

opportunity to announce, to increase the self-esteem wants of the countries that will

participate in the event and of the country that

is hosting the event.

Because the accomplishment of the event and one

moment not only of playing with other people, but

also and one moment of doing friendships, to change

experience with other people.
