    Purpose of the Scout ExpoThe Scout Expo is our celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Scouting event that is a booth type walk around

    show featuring the display of Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Venturing and Exploring activities. Hundreds ofScouts, leaders, and families will participate in this great South Texas Scouting tradition.

    Scout Expo Booth/Demonstration/Activity Ideas

    Cub Scouting

    Any of the Wolf, Bear, and Webelos achievement subjects such as Woodworking, Texas Heritage, Fitness, HomSafety, Scientist, Artist, and Geologist to name a few. Space Derby and Pine Wood Derby activities are also funYour Pack can do just about any thing that the boys and leaders come up with. The possibilities are endless. Soshow your Scouting Pride and attend the Scout Show.

    Boy ScoutingRope making, Indian Lore activities and crafts, backpacking and camping displays, Atomic Energy displays,Cooking demonstrations including Dutch Oven cooking, Scout History, and Pioneering projects are just a sampof the activities that Troops can do at the Scout Show.

    Venturing, Sea Scouting, and ExploringAviation, First Aid, Sailing, Medical, Law Enforcement, High Adventure, Living History, Health Care, EmergencyServices are just a few of the booth ideas for your unit.

    Booth/Demonstration ObjectivesScout Expo booths/demonstrations need to have the following three basic objectives to achieve success.

    1. Attract attention - arouse interest2. Involve - personalize the subject matter, invite others to participate.3. Motivate - stimulate action, get involved with the subject.

    Successful booth participation can be done by each unit by carefully laying out the elements of the displays andhighlighting the center of interest by using colorful and attractive backgrounds, and most important providing yoScouts and visitors an opportunity to get involved with the booth.

    *Awards for most unique booths will be given out, so remember DO YOUR BEST!
