cere gratitude to all of you, amazing
parishioners of Holy Name of Jesus
Parish, and all those who came to
share in my joy at my 40th birthday
celebration. Thanks for all your pray-
ers, support and your kind wishes.
May the good Lord, in His infinite mercy and
love continue to bless you and your families both now
and forever. Amen.
Traveling Shrines
Our traveling shrine of the Holy
Family is missing. If you still have it at
home please return it to the rectory or place
it on the table at the entrance to the Lady
Chapel, as it is being requested by other
families.
We also have the shrine of Our La-
dy of Fatima. We will be restarting the sign up sheets
and if you’re interested in taking the shrine home for
the week, please sign the sheet with your telephone
number. We request that the shrine should be retuned
on a Saturday in time for 4:00 o’clock mass in case a
parishioner is signed up at that time to take it home. This is a great Prayer opportunity!

THIRTY-SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME NOVEMBER 10, 2019
Serving those who Serve
The next National Collection for the Archdiocese for
the Military Services, USA (AMS), is scheduled for the week-
end of 10 November 2019. The AMS receives no funding from
the U.S. Government or the U.S. Military, has no parishes for a
weekly in-pew collection, and must rely principally on private
donations to fund an annual operating budget of over $8.2 mil-
lion.
Established by St. John Paul II in 1985, the AMS is
responsible for providing the full range of pastoral ministries
available in all other U.S. dioceses to those serving in the United
States Armed Services, enrolled in U.S. Military Academies,
undergoing treatment at any of the 153 Department of Veterans
Affairs Medical Centers, working in civilian jobs for the federal
government beyond U.S. borders, and for the families of these
populations. In other words, the AMS is responsible for the
pastoral care of men, women, and children from all U.S. dioces-
es, who hail from all 50
States and U.S. Territo-
ries—including mem-
bers of your own par-
ish.
Please help
continue to provide
priests for the Church
and the military chap-
laincy and to minister
to the Catholic military
men and women, and
their families, who are part of this global Archdiocese.
Fr. Emiel Kapuan, Servant of God, Pray for us.
Teachings of Padre Pio for November
We must come to accept the
passing of someone we love
(and be open to God’s grace for
such acceptance) because this is
very helpful for the happy re-
pose of their soul.
“Do as I have done. Pray, pray always for the souls
of the dear departed. Even if your loved ones are in heaven,
we must always pray. If they no longer need prayers, they are
applied to other souls.”
Our savior, Jesus Christ, suffered His passion and
crucifixion so that He might deliver them from death. By the
blood of His cross, may they share now in the glory of His
victory over sin and death.
The Little Sisters of the Poor
will host their annual Christmas Bazaar and Craft Fair at
Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket, on Sat-
urday, November 16th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The one-day
event will feature the ever-popular basket bonanza. Premier
prizes include a flat screen TV, outdoor grill, children’s bicy-
cles, restaurant gift card wreath, and more! A festive selec-
tion of Christmas décor and crafts have been hand-made with
love by the Sisters, Residents, families and staff. The event
will also feature a bargain boutique, crystal palace, grab bags,
games for children, bake sale, and lunch in the dining room.
Join the Little Sisters for this seasonal tradition and support
their mission at the same time.
