SeaCat: an SDN End-to-End Application Containment ArchitecTure

Problem:Healthcare, emergency services, and other special apps often require specific network and security characteristics at a granular per-app level. (i.e. your kids’ compromised social account should not pose a risk to you accessing your online health records)

Solution:Combine Software Defined Network techniques and application containment to provide an end-to-end application containment. Treat mobile device as “semi-trusted” SDN domain.

Air Pollution Real-Time Mobile Monitoring

ProblemLimited number of air monitoring sites only give air quality in specific locations. Goal is to determine concentrations of pollutants at any location in region.

SolutionData collection from large number of low cost mobile and fixed monitors to create computed air quality values anywhere in region
