8. Install double faced tape to the back of the emblem (asshown).

9. For Mesh Grilles: Align the emblem onto the emblemmounting plate, align the outer edges and press theemblem firmly to the plate to set the tape.For Q Grilles: Align the emblem onto the Q grille andpress the emblem firmly to the plate to set the tape (not

shown).

7. Remove the upper and lower mounting tabs from theback of the emblem.

6. Squeeze the bottom mounting tabs and remove the hoodprop rod holder from the factory grille.

5. Remove the factory emblem from the O.E. grille by push-ing in on the four (4) mounting tabs and push theemblem out from the back.

6. For light colored vehicles, tape up the 1/2 inward of theupper grille opening and scuff the factory paint. Applysemi gloss or flat black paint to everything inside theupper and lower grille openings that are not alreadyblack.

13. Carefully align the upper grille into place, making sure allfour (4) lower mounting tabs fit into the lower slots in thebumper cover. Press firmly at all lower tab locations until thetabs snap into the slots.14. Reinstall the factory upper push pins to secure the top of theE&G Q or Mesh grille.15. IMPORTANT: If the grille is too high, it may hit the hood.Carefully close the hood and check the clearance. If youneed to move the grille down, remove the grille and bendthe lower mounting brackets up until the grille is centered in

the opening. If the grille is too low and will not fit inside theopening, bend the lower mounting brackets down to raisethe grille up enough to fit inside the factory opening.

12. Before installing the upper grille, use a flat blade screwdriver top bend the centers of all four (4) lower mount-ing brackets down as shown. This will allow the lowermounting brackets to snap into the factory slots in thebumper cover.

11. Install the assembled emblem onto the mesh section byaligning the mounting tabs on the emblems through theslots in the mesh grille and install the supplied blackplastic washers, #10 lock washers and #8-32 hex nutsthen once the emblem assembly is centered, tighten.

14. Once the grille is installed and adjusted, use a long 1/8(.125) drill bit and drill through the centers of the exist-ing holes in the top plate and through both layers ofplastic below the hole. You must drill straight down tocatch both layers of plastic (see figure A).

15. Install the supplied #8 x 2 countersunk phillips screws,making sure that they pass through both layers of plastic(see figure A).

10. Once the emblem is double faced taped to the emblemmounting plate, break off the side mounting tabs prior togrille installation.

IMPORTANT! The exposed edges of the stainless steel grille and mesh can be ex- tremely sharp. Please handle with care.
