SmartTech™ provides real-time analysis and X-ray screener support—viainstant Voice and text communication—from Certified Bomb TechnicianSubject Matter Experts.

The MSA SmartTech™ Team is comprised entirely of active and retired bombsquad personnel.

SmartTech™ is a three tier application that communicates across theinternet securely via 256-bit SSL encryption to ensure secureconnections for image, voice, and text communications. These areclient initiated outbound communications only, keeping the clientnetwork secure at all times.

SmartTech™ uses a small form factor PC and integrated monitor stand on theclient’s existing X-ray monitor and the SmartTech™monitor for a smallerfootprint.

SmartTech™ has received Department of Homeland Security SAFETY Actdesignation.

The SmartTech™ PC is built for the SmartTech™ application only. Users arenot permitted to freely access the web, load software, or play games on theSmartTech™ PC.

MSA provides onsite X-ray interpretation training for all SmartTech™ customers.Training is presented by Bomb Technicians with screening expertise.

SmartTech™ is operated out of MSA’s 24/7 365 Emergency Operations Center(EOC), equipped with disaster recovery capability and backup locations.

Each interaction between MSA Bomb Technicians and client X-ray screeners serves as an opportunity for ongoing training.
