We are blessed with two cradle roll teachers who are expecting babies toward the end of this year and beginning of next year, and we need teachers to help in the Cradle Roll class. Would you be willing to teach a class 1-2 times a month? If so, please contact Kelli Marquette at 248-974-5271 or any of the current teachers in Cradle Roll (Liz Master, Camille Rosekrans, and Diana Rico). New A/V Camera System Fundraiser: Our current camera system has grown quite old, and we would like to expand our capabilities. In light of this, the church board has voted to update our existing live stream cameras at a cost of $25,000. Thank you for your generous spirit and helpful donations. Please mark your tithe envelope "A/V Project".

Metro Midweek - Please join us for our Living Conflict study series (the Great Controversy). Each week we explore a new chapter to learn how to stay close and faithful to Jesus Christ in troublesome times. Don’t miss out! Set aside one hour a week (Wednesdays 7-8pm) and be blessed! Would you like to increase attendance/membership in your organization? Could your business use a little “boost”? Are you affiliated with a school or group that needs to grow? Then join us Sunday, October 17, from 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. in the Metropolitan SDA Church for the “Marketing as Ministry Workshop”. There is no charge and lunch will be provided. Since 2012 Theresa Kelchner, the presenter, has worked to build capacity with 200+ Christian schools both large and small. Picture Day is Tuesday, October 19. If you would like to order any of the photo packages from Lifetouch, please go to their website: MyLifetouch.com. The ID for our Picture Day is EVTJTK9X2. When you enter that ID it will ask for your student’s name and grade. Students names have already been sent to them and you will be able to choose a package.

Coming up: School will dismiss at 11:45 a.m, Friday, October 22. There will be no school, Monday, October 25 as the teachers will be attending an InService. Classes will resume Tuesday, October 26. We are one quarter into the current school year! Thursday, October 28 school will dismiss at 11:45 a.m. for Parent Teacher Conferences in the afternoon. Please see the attached schedule form, complete it, and return by Friday, October 22. Move A Thon monies are due in by Friday, October 29. There are some very nice prizes to be given away! Thursday, November 11 at noon is our annual Veterans Day Lunch. If you, a family member, friend, or neighbor served in one of the branches of our mil-itary, they are invited to join us.
