1. Mia YimThe soon to be 25-year-old currently has 5 years of experience in the professional wrestling business. Stephanie Bell, or better known as Mia Yim, is half African-American and Korean. She started out as a valet in August 2009 and has since wrestled in various promotions like Ring of Honor and the all-female SHIMMER. An avid user of social media, Mia often posts pictures of herself training in the gym which explains why she only gets better and better in the ring!

Currently competing in SHINE Wrestling, Su Yung made her debut in pro wrestling in 2007. The Asian-American athlete was formerly in WWE’s developmental territory, FCW which is now known as NXT, under a different name, Sonia. Her real name is Vannarah Riggs and since leaving WWE, she has wrestled in SHIMMER and made it to the quarter finals of the SHINE Tag Team Championship Tourmanent earlier this year with partner Tracy Taylor against Made In Sin.

The Canadian wrestler and model of Korean descent debuted in the Canadian independent circuit under the name La Felina and has worked in both TV wrestling giants, WWE and TNA. Currently, she wrestles for the latter company. Born Kanako Urai, the 32-year-old was initially a graphic designer when she fell in love with the world of pro wrestling and decided to pursue a career in it. Kana retired two years after making her debut in AtoZ due to inflammation of the kidneys. In 2011, the Osaka native moved to the American independent wrestling scene and fought with the likes of Sara Del Rey and Mia Yim.

Born in Chichibu, Saitama, Japan, Arisa Nakajima is a professional wrestler of 8 years. The 24-year-old trained with the Major Girl’s Fighting AtoZ promotion before moving to JWP Joshi Puroresu. She retired in 2009 but returned to the ring three years later. She then went on to win the JWP Openweight championship for the first time later that year.

As one half of the Purple Thunder sisters, Mio Shirai began her career in 2007 working in several indie promotions like JWP Joshi Puroresu and Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling. She wrestled with her younger sister Io for three years before teaming up with fellow freelancer Kana as the Triple Tails until 2013. She is now contracted to several promotions, namely Ice Ribbon, Oz Academy, Pro Wrestling Wave and Union Pro.

The Tokyo native first broke out as a singles competitor in 2010 after wrestling with her older sister Mio and friend Kana for six and three years respectively. In 2013, Io Shirai went on to World Wonder Ring Stardom where she won its top title. The siblings had firmly tried to keep their real names and private lives a secret but in 2012, Io’s real name was leaked to be Masami Odate. The 23-year-old has worked in Mexican promotion, IWRG, under the ring name Biba Kasai where the Shirais wore cat-like masks during matches which they only had on for their entrances back home.

Nicknamed the “Future Princess”, Mika Nagano is a mixed martial artist and pro wrestler from Gifu, Japan. The 30- year-old was an amateur wrestling champion while studying at Chukyo Women’s University and has moved to Tokyo in 2006. Following that, she fought in MMA with Smackgirl for three years before moving on to wrestling in Ice Ribbon and World Wonder Ring Stardom until 2011. Her career went on hiatus for a while before Stardom announced her return in 2013. She got married later that year and is currently pregnant.

Miyako Matsumoto is not only a pro wrestler but also the owner and promoter of the Gake no Fuchi Puroresu promotion as well as an actress. She works for Ice Ribbon too where she has many accomplishments to her name like being their second Triple Crown Champion. She was trained by Emi Sakura in 2008 and has since been wrestling till now. Her in-ring persona has her wearing different cosplay outfits in which she would dance in the middle of matches and even intentionally botch spots for comedic purposes.

This 25-year-old actress turned wrestler began her in-ring career in 2008 after being involved in a film called Three Count which was set in the world of pro wrestling. As a child, Hikaru Shida was a practitioner in judo and kendo and went on to train under Emi Sakura in Ice Ribbon. She worked there for most of her career until she went on to freelancing in 2014 at the Gake no Fuchi Puroresu event where she defeated Miyako Matsumoto in a Last Woman Standing match. She has also worked in SHIMMER where she debuted as part of their Volume 58 show and their Volume 62 internet pay-per-view to beat Mia Yim and Evie respectively.
