10 History Topic 3: The Globalising World “We Didn’t Start the Fire” Create a slideshow that details the top events and issues that surrounded your chosen decade. Fill out the research sheet and conduct your own research to help in your idea generation. Find as many images and basic information (headlines) as you can to fill up the slideshow. Be sure to include a balance between global and Australian issues. Choose an appropriate song to go with the slideshow, one that best typified the feelings at the time. Look for protest singers and songs that helped shape people’s opinions. For best results, choose a topic or issue within the decade and combine the information with a relevant song.
