• Day-to-day Acquisitions

• End-to-end workflows for acquiring electronic resources

User Roles

To manage trials and evaluations for electronic resources:

• A Purchasing Operator starts the process by creating a PO line and managing it through to cancellation or PO-creation

• A Trial Manager or Operator takes over to manage the trial itself

• So that e-resources may be evaluated by appropriate experts, Trial Participants are required

• Identify the steps that trials and evaluations go through during their workflows

• Successfully manage a trial and/or evaluation

• Analyze results of a trial and/or evaluation and make a purchase-decision

Workflow begins when Trials Manager or Operator receives notification of an offer or a request to evaluate a specific electronic resource

• Edit details

• Delete the trial

• Edit the PO line

• Activate

Before a trial can get underway, it must be activated

Notification to Trial Participants by email occurs

• According to the number of days set before start of the trial

• When the Trials – Start and Notify Participants process is Active on the Monitor Jobs page and runs automatically

• Includes details about the trial and a link to the survey page

After trial concludes, the Trial Manager must

• Analyze the results

• Enter the results in Summary tab

• Record a purchase-decision
