Search Guide Searches This SessionEach search you perform is saved for you for this session only, simply click on Search to perform the search again. These searches are not saved permanently, if you close the browser or your session expires the searches are lost. You can also clear all the searches you have stored this session if the list gets too large

Job Id SearchEnter a valid Job Id to search for a opportunity that matches. The Job Id must be a valid integer between -2,147,483,648 and 2,147,483,647.

Keyword SearchEnter in one or more keywords, separated by a comma, to search relevant fields in opportunities for a matching value. This type of search will search multiple fields for a matching record. For example, entering a value of Georgia will search Title, Location and State (amongst other fields) for the keyword of Georgia. This style of search always uses a “contains” style of search which means that any part of the field could include the keyword and result in a match.

AFSC SearchThe default search for this field is a Contains search, which means that any matching part of an AFSC will return results. For example, entering C3 will find all AFSC that contain C3, such as 1C371 and 1N371. You can also use a wildcard character of X to replace one character in the search. For example, a search for 1X371 will return results that begin with 1 and end in 371. Other examples of wildcard searches include: X37, X371, 1CX, and 1C37X. Multiple wildcards (such as 1XX71) are not supported and will be treated as a “contains” style search.

Source SearchSearching by Source allows you to see all opportunities, only opportunities entered through VRS (Non-DCAPES), or opportunities that were created as a result of the DCAPES feed.

Grade SearchSearching by Grade searches all opportunities based on the Desired Grade and where the Grade falls between the Minimum and Maximum grades.

Duration SearchSearching by Duration searches all opportunities that fall within the selected duration range.

Location SearchSearching by Location searches all opportunities that contain the location specified. For example, entering a value of Georgia will search Location, Theater, Country and State for the keyword of Georgia. This style of search always uses a “contains” style of search which means that any part of the field could include the keyword and result in a match.

Paging, Sorting, Grouping and Details ViewsResults are displayed in groups of 20 records per page. You can Page through the results using the paging bar found in the header and footer of the records or you can simply scroll the list to load the next 20 records. Clicking on a column header will Sort the list. You may also drag a column to the area above the header where it says Drag a column header and drop it here to group by that column in order to Group the results by that column. Clicking on the Job Id (left column) or by clicking on the icon will display more Details on the opportunity record.

Application Process

The application approval process is different for TRs, IMAs and ANG members.

The TR process has 7 steps which starts with Supervisor’s approval. The Supervisor receives an email to approve/disapprove the request and if approved, enters an email address of the next approval in the process, the Unit Deployment Manager (UDM). The UDM member submits their comments, approval/disapproval, then inputs the email address for the next step in the process, Logistics Readiness Section (LRS). The process repeats itself until it reaches the last step, the Requisitioner Review. If the applicant receives a disapproval anywhere during the process, the application is disapproved.

The IMA process is similar to the TR process except after the Supervisor approval, is Step 2 UDM recommendations; Step 3, Program Manager; Step 4 Personnel Readiness Manager; Step 5 FAM Approval; Step 6 FGC and Step 7, Requisitioners Review.

The ANG new process now has 7 steps, Supervisor, UDM, LRS, Wing CC/ Equivalent, FAM, ANG and last step, Requisitioner Review. The application process has been updated to further advance the ANG member and the vetting process.
