Enhanced Search Logic

Enhanced Search Logic:

• All Custom Fields now appear in the search type dropdown.

• Search strings are now parsed using a Google/Yahoo-style AND behavior.

• For example, in the screen snapshot shown here, MCS will return all content that contains “Africa” in any field AND contains the literal “Green Frog” in any field.

Calendar (Outlook-like) Interface:

• The scheduling pages have calendar views. Users can view calendar entries for Month, Week, and Day

• Currently scheduled events will display with the icon. Only resources to which the user has access to will display

• Clicking on “Add” will take the user to the Schedule Wizard page (if they have Scheduling permission)

Emergency Broadcast:

• Emergency Broadcast templates can be created using the Scheduling web pages.

• Once the Emergency Broadcast template is created, a user with Emergency Broadcast privilege simply needs to select “Start Emergency Broadcast” and it will immediately happen

The system uses only four basic elements:

• A VBrick MPEG-2 Encoder with VBSTAR • Any number of VBrick Set Top Boxes • Ethernet/IP network (must support multicast) • A Windows PC with the Digital Signage Application for

setup only (PC not required for operation)

The Digital Signage Generator program creates special display software "pages" for use with a VBrick VBSTAR and VBrick Set Top Box.

VBrick’s Digital Signage application is an easy to use WYSIWYG interface to create content in an open-systems (non-proprietary html) format. Each screen created can have text, graphics, and video elements. Each page can have time durations associated to it. This allows for multiple pages with multiple messages to be viewed in a consolidated manner.
