Space Flight Operations Contract (SFOC) created to streamline operations USA assumed prime responsibility for SFOC

operations in 1996 Resulted in eventual consolidation of 31 legacy

contracts

Space Program Operations Contract Follow-on to SFOC Space Shuttle Program operations and related

support for the International Space Station and exploration programs.
