Paul's Letters to
Timothy
regarding the
Church Ephesus
and it's
problems
Chapter One Warning
from Paul
1ST TIMOTHY IN A NUTSHELL
1st Timothy was written by Paul to Timothy.
It was written when Timothy decided to stay and help the church of Ephesus with its problems and struggles.
Paul wrote 1st Timothy to warn and help address these problems.
False BelieversBasically certain
people in the church were teaching
doctrines based on far fetched genealogical
points & mythical stories trying to tie them into the Old
Testament.
Some did not have true faith or pure
heart and turned to useless talk.
USELESS TALK 101
You cant go to McDonalds if you don't know where Mcdonalds is.
If they themselves did not truly believe Christ then how can they lead some one
to believe. You“can't” ride a bike with no handle bars,
the same thing applies with God.
Gods work comes only from true sincere faith.
Paul was trying to get the point across that God's work doesn't
happen if you aren't sincere in your faith and truly believe. Gods work
comes from accepting the Lord and devoting time to the study of the
bible and prayer.
Don't waste time thinking of the ifs and maybes of the possibles in the
Bible.
The Right Law To the Right People
The true and good law when taught correctly should not be taught to the righteous but
to the evil unrighteous, the
murders, the kidnappers, and the criminals.
Don't delve into the unknown
Don't spend time thinking about the unknown or possibles in the bible.
Don't try to make something appear logical or possible from that isn't
fully true.
Study Gods word
Gods work is the result of a true faith and sincere belief in God and is the outcome of reading and
delving in the Bible and not its unknowns.
Our Task
God gave us this task to bring Christ to the people of the world and “fight the good
fight and hold on to faith.” So that others in turn can also live in Christ.
