Reorganisation

•Purpose - To improve the efficiency in administration of European Union (EU) Cohesion Fund and Structural Funds (EU Funds) in the Ministry of Finance by ensuring optimisation of the functions and improving performance capacities.

Functions of the Strategy Department

• To ensure implementation of planning functions of the Ministry as the EU Funds Managing Authority for the 2004-2006 and 2007-2013 programming period;

• To ensure implementation of the functions of the Deputy State Secretary as the Head of the Managing Authority.

Functions of the EU Funds Monitoring Department

• To ensure implementation of monitoring functions of the Ministry as the EU Funds Managing Authority for the 2004-2006 and 2007-2013 programming period;•To provide for improvement and maintenance of the management information system of the EU Funds.

Functions of the EU Funds Management System Department

• To ensure implementation of Structural Funds management support functions of the Ministry as the EU Funds Managing Authority for the 2004-2006 and 2007-2013 programming period;-Monitoring of the audits of EU Funds management and control system;-Updating the description of the EU Funds management and control system;-Elaborating draft legislative acts;-Providing for information and publicity events for the EU Funds;-Record-keeping.

•To ensure implementation of the functions as the authority managing the Technical Assistance.
