  • Single Stage PumpsAHLSTAR W SeriesAHLSTAR W pumps are intendedfor corrosive and abrasive applicationswhere durability is essential. The spe-cial hydraulic design reduces erosionwhile careful selection of parts mat-erials to make them compatible withcorrosive conditions, gives extendedworking life and reliability. Gas removalconstruction is also offered.

AHLSTAR A SeriesAHLSTAR A pumps are designedfor pumping clean, abrasive or corro-sive liquids as well as stocks of variouskinds. If the liquid contains gas or airthe pump can be modified with eitherinternal or external gas removal con-struction which stabilizes the oper-ation. The Sulzer Dynamic Seal isspecially designed for difficult liquidsoffering reliable operation and low totalsealing costs.

AHLSTAR N SeriesAHLSTAR N pumps are designedfor pumping abrasive or corrosiveliquids, sludges and slurries containinglarge particles or long fibers. Specialhydraulic design prevents plugging andlets big particles pass. Gas removalsystems broaden the scope of appli-cations to include those containing airor gas.

The MCE pump can be providedwith a separate external degassingsystem or with a built-in degassingsystem. Both alternatives incorporatethe same benefits of Sulzer Pumpsnew 3rd generation centrifugal MCPumps.

  • MC Flow Dischargeris designed for dividing and control-ling high consistency stock flow andfor discharging towers and bleachingreactors. The Flow Discharger operates so thatthe stock entering the chamber of thedischarger is fluidized by the rotor. The outlets are constructed directly tothis same chamber. The dischargeritself does not generate pressure, soan MCE pump is required in theprocess to pump the stock throughthe discharger.

AHLMIX Chemical Mixeris a medium consistency (MC) chemi-cal mixer for mixing both gaseous andliquid bleaching chemicals and alsosteam into paper stock. The rotor of the mixer fluidizes thestock together with the casing turbu-lence generators, thus disrupting thefiber network and resulting in the opti-mum mixing result. Perpendicular po-sitioning of the rotor and the uniquethree dimensional turbulence zone pre-vent the separation of gas.

MC Discharge Scraperoperates in connection with a mediumconsistency tower discharge pump.Maximum stock consistency in thetower is 25-30%.The Discharge Scraper scrapes thestock over the complete bottom areaof the tower and leads it into thefeeding chute of the MCE pump, thus enabling an even discharge andsimultaneously preventing channelingof the stock in the tower.

  • AgitatorsSALOMIX SL/STSL/ST agitators are side-mounted gearor belt driven propeller agitators spe-cially designed for fibrous stocks in allprocess conditions. They are charac-terized by low power need and highefficiency. By combining four bladedcast, adjustable propeller blades withthe conical body shape inside thetank, the stock flow to the propeller isstreamlined. Rigid design makes theseagitators reliable and provides ext-ended operational life. The productrange includes propeller diametersfrom 315 mm to 1600 mm while thepower range is from 2,2 kW up to 90kW. These side mounted agitatorsare mainly used in the pulp and paperindustry.

SALOMIX L SeriesThe L-series covers gear or belt drivenagitators mounted either vertically (onthe tank top flange or through the tankbottom) or horizontally to the side wallflange of the reactor. The power rangecovers agitators with 0,5 kW motorsup to 450 kW motors. Versatile impelleroptions with single or multilevel pad-dles, propellers, turbines, dissolverdiscs, anchor etc. makes it possible tocontrol many different kinds of agita-tion operations and process needs incompliance with the rheology of themixed fluid.

SALOMIX TES, VULCAParticularly in big storage tanks ortowers, the outpumping stock qualityis difficult to control especially whenthe stock is diluted in the bottom zoneof the tank. To control the flow in thehigh density area in the upper part ofthe tank the TES is used to spreadthe stock evenly on the top surfaceand to create a uniform downflow. The TES with variable rotating speedensures that an even, fresh layer ofstock is spread always topmost re-gardless of the surface level in thetower.VULCA together with DILCO dilutionwater feed system is used to preventthe channelling and air entrainmentinto the stock and to save pumpingenergy costs when filling the tower.
