NOTICE INVITING TENDER SINGLE STAGE SINGLE ENVELOPE

The Procuring Entity, Executive Engineer PBMC C&W Department Peshawar, invites sealed bids from eligible firm/contractor enlisted with C&W Department, licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in the appropriate category and dully qualified with the PBMC C&W Department for the year 2017-18 for the following works:-

TERMS & CONDITIONS:- 1 Bid documents i.e Tender Form, BOQ and instruction to bidders etc can be downloaded

up to one day prior the opening date from C&W website (www.cwd.gkp.pk). 2. Original Bid Security in the shape of Call Deposit in the name of Executive Engineer

PBMC C&W Department Peshawar shall accompany the bid 3. Each bidder shall submit his bid through sealed cover as under:-

(a) ORIGINAL and each copy of the bid shall be separately sealed andput in separate envelopes and marked as such.

(h) The Envelope containing the ORIGINAL and copies will be e in one sealed envelope and addressed to Executive Engineer PBMC C&W Department Peshawar.

4. In supersession of Finance Department Notification No. SO (FR)FD/9-7/2011No1-11 dated 05-11-2014 the following amendments in SBDs for procurement of Good, Works & Services.

i. The Contractors/Bidders who quote their bids/rate more than 10% below the Engineers Estimate shall submit an additional security in the form of call deposit equal to 8% of the estimated cost. After commencement of work by the successful bidders 8% call deposit can be replaced with a bank guarantee to the same amount from any schedule bank.

ii. The additional security shall be released to the contractor in four installments i.e 25% to the released after completion 25% of the project, 50% to the release upon 50% completion, 75% to be released upon 75% completion and the remaining amount to be released after completion of the project. In case the bidder quotes more than 10% below the estimated cost and the bid is not accompanied by the additional security than the bid shall be considered as non-responsive and the 2nd lowest bidder and so on will be considered accordingly.

5. The item rate system is replaced by Above/Below system on BOQ based on Market Rate System.

6. Bid will be valid for Ninety (90) days.

7. If the bid rate/cost of two or more than two bidders are same then the successful bid will be decided through toss.

8. All Federal / Provincial duties/Stamp duties/Taxes will be recoverable asper directions of the Government issued from time to time.

2 9. Execution of Work will be subject to release / availability of fund.

10. The Competent authority reserves the right to reject any or all the tender by assigning the cogent reason in consultation with authority at any time prior to the award of contract.

11. All relevant document i.e Registration with current renewal of C&W, PEC, NIC must be attached with tender form.
