Elijah

Returns

They have endured over

three years without rain.

God is ready to move.

God is going to reveal His Power to His people,

and let them choose whom they will serve.

He is giving them opportunity to repent.

God is longsuffering toward His people.

Elijah is talking to Ahab.

1 Kings 18:19 Now therefore

send, and gather to me all

Israel unto mount Carmel,

and the prophets of Baal

four hundred and fifty, and

the prophets of the groves

four hundred, which eat at

Jezebel's table. 20 So Ahab

sent unto all the children of

Israel, and gathered the

prophets together unto

mount Carmel.

Mount Carmel was

considered to be

the sacred dwelling

place of Baal.

21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said,

How long halt ye between two opinions? if the

LORD be God, follow Him: but if Baal, then

follow him. And the people answered him not a

word. 22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I

only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's

prophets are four hundred and fifty men.

Choosing time

Worship of Baal was popular, but he had no power.

Many Israelites wanted both Baal and Jehovah.

Many people today want to have it both ways:

A mixture of Christianity with this world.

Each must choose for himself.

Will I live for the Lord Jesus Christ?

Or will I love the world and the things of the world.

It’s Choosing Time.

There are many false gods and idols.

Still others worship self.

My own way.

1 John 2 15 Love not the world, neither the things

that are in the world. If any man love the world, the

love of the Father is not in him.

Love of God and love of the world will not mix.

James 4 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye

not that the friendship of the world is enmity with

God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the

world is the enemy of God.

John 15 (Jesus) 18 If the world hate you, ye know that

it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the

world, the world would love his own: but because ye

are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the

world, therefore the world hateth you.

1 Peter 4 4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run

not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil

of you:

Unbelievers will never

understand Christians.

Romans 12 1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by

the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a

living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which

is your reasonable service. And be not conformed

to this world: but be ye transformed by the

renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is

that good, and acceptable, and perfect, Will of God.

Transform is metamorphosis.

A total transformation!

That total change is what God wants

for His children.

We will be trans-

formed only by the

renewing of our

mind.

We must submit our mind to

God’s Word and His Spirit.

Obey Every Word of God.Don’t lie, cheat, steal, fornicate, or murder.

Do pray, rejoice, love, give thanks, be patient,

respect God, be filled with the Holy Spirit and

let Him produce the fruit of God in you.

These lists are not complete,

but a good place to start.

Today is the first day of

the rest of your life.

Truth

It’s not too late to be transformed.

Let’s worship only the True and Living God

through Jesus Christ.

He is the only hope of eternal salvation.
