Matt. 28:16-19 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Notice the intentionality in Jesus' statement – “GO!”

"You don't accidentally create disciples. It's an intentional process." Mike Breen

Jesus is in the business of making disciples who make disciples

1. Intentional LeaderIsn't this arrogant of us as christians to say we're in the businessof making disciples?

• We're not making disciples of us, we’re making disciples of Jesus.

• If Jesus is who we believe he is then it's not arrogance, it's obedience.

"I am with you". “Baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy spirit.”

“Even if two or three gathered in my name I am there...”

Discipleship happens communion with God and with each other. It's a relational process and it needs relational environments...

Conclusion

“Ultimately, each church will be evaluated by only one thing - its disciples. Your church is only as good as her disciples. It does not matter how good your praise, preaching, programs or property are; if your disciples are passive, needy, consumeristic, and not <radically obedient> your church is not good.” Neil Cole
