TNC LISTS - two kind of actions

Duty Members

Criteria : being actively participating in TNC

(in, eg, meeting or conferences or mailing during the last two years)

R10• Guyseong Cho, MI, Korea (new member 2010)• Zhen-An Liu, RI, China (new member 2009)• haru Nomachi, RI and RE, Japan, Osaka (new member 2011)• Anatoly Rosenfeld, RI, Australia• Gabriella Hoff, MI , R9, Brazil (new member 2010)

Consultative Members « in the reserve »

Criteria: seconding the TNC (but not directly active the last two years or wishing to now second the Committee)

This is more than a dormant list. This is a list of concerned active members, a kind of « TNC reserve » which may be consulted for their knowledge.

Their knowledge of TNC and technical field / region activities is still precious. Their investment must be kept in reserve

Student Summer Schools

Patrick Le Dû (R8)• « I was giving lectures in various summer schools in the past few

years and specially last year in Beijing and Ukraine, and realized how this kind of event can be efficient to promote and make our society visible for the future generation of students. – Such 'summer schools' are in great development in the 'news countries'

like India, China, Vietnam, Brazil ......

– In these events, help of experienced scientists like we have in our society are greatly required and appreciated.

– I think that NPSS should not forget this important evolution and have a way to establish some relationship with these schools organizers.

• « According what you asked for in our last teleconference I contacted again to the possible people to be envolved in the "Summer Courses" in Brasil and Latin America.

Student Summer Schools

Also seconded during the TNC teleconf meeting, Feb 2012

• By Alessandro Paccagnella (R8- Italy, Padova, Radiation Effects)

• By Christoph Ilgner (R8 – Germany, Dresden Rossendorf Helmoltz Inst)

• By Gabriella Hoff (R9 - Brazil, Porto Allegre)

• By Anatoly Rozenfeld (R10 – Australia Sydney)

Gabriella Hoff (R9):

• I contacted again to the possible people to be involved in the "Summer Course

I suggest use the national or international events, that way we can guarantee a larger number of participants from different regions what is good to became IEEE known. Usually they have this courses 2 or 3 days before the meetings.

1. To promote it in Brazil, we can use

the Brazilain Physics Society

the Brazilian Association of Physicists in Medicine

(to get space in the meeting of 2013, this meeting usually happens in May 2012 I can try).

2. To Latin America

we could have a space in the next Latina American Association of Medical Physicists meeting in 2013. I contact Simone Dias who was very receptive to this

=> easily ask for grants to pay the trip and hotels.
