Diagonal Reference Line

Reference PointsElevator Hinge Reference Line

1- Come in Low with 10 Kts overspeed until approaching the diagonal reference line,l approx. 1 – 2 spans out

2- Convert speed into height and stabilise on the diagonal

3- Move slowly along the diagonal up to the elevator hinge reference line. The lateral separation is now half a wingspan

3- Vertical separation is achieved by splitting the wing of the leader

1- Keep the wingtips at the edge of the front window frame, coming in below the front aircraft

2- Manoevre into position by adjusting height, until the rudder is “touching” the top of the front window frame
