Database Design

• The design of the interactive Cultural Exchange System will incorporate a flexible database model.

• The data model will have multiple levels of input and multiple levels of access.

• It will include standard data fields that will be common to all States and Regions, yet will allow Local Participants to create additional fields, according to their particular needs.

• It will also include a sophisticated form generation program that will allow additional data capture and surveys as the system builds.

• The system will have to be able to capture all types of mixed media. This includes graphics, pictures, audio, video and data.

System Design

The most unique element of the system resides in the fact that it will be designed to serve the needs of distinct cultural sectors/communities on the basis of information received from the sectors/communities concerned.

In a fast changing cultural landscape, the system is designed to remain plastic enough to evolve alongside its public.
