Installation Information

Installation

• Each unit is connected via two cables ducted from the back of the casing and through the wall panel into the wall space

• 12v DC for power – via a power adaptor (safely secured) to a metal clad, RCD protected socket

• Cat 5e data cable for internet connectivity – to an internet router (all cables numbered at both ends)

• All in line with current NIC EIC regulations and Cat5e standards.

• The site self-survey will establish the most suitable connection points and appropriate cable runs, which will be hidden wherever possible.

• It will also confirm whether any pre-work is required (e.g. to hide cables where not wall cavity exists, or where a non-standard urinal is in place – see next page). Installation quotations are based on the site survey. At your request Captive Media can conduct the site survey.

• Captive Media works with a long-established, national IT installation company to ensure the install is done to spec, and to guarantee service cover, with remote monitoring, 24/7 helpdesk and next-day call-out. They can also audit your existing IT infrastructure, if you choose.

• No on-site commissioning is required. The units will start to play games and PTV content as soon as they are connected.

• A typical 3 or 4 unit install is complete within a day – all that is required is uninterrupted access to the washrooms and any areas for cable runs.
