Schedule Status
• Overall Project Status– 16% complete (per cost basis)– Concrete Work on Schedule, recovered rain impacts in June &
September– Underground Utility Work lagging due to Coordination Effort
(required to resolve interferences See Drawing)– Fabrication of Structural Steel slightly behind early finish
projections, but ahead of baseline.
19 BROOKHAVEN SCIENCE ASSOCIATES
Schedule Status
Underground Utility Plan C – 600• Substantial Utility Installation• Extensive coordination

Issues & Risks
• Potential Problems• Winter Concrete Work
– Winter Mix Design, Placement & Protection Plan
• Utility Installation in Inner Courtyard– Resolve Interferences (all resolved to date)– Coordination / Staging of Trades for Utility Work
• Potential for Construction Outpacing Design by ASD & XFD Groups
– Could necessitate revision to installed work
• Coordination between LOB & Ring Building Contractors
23 BROOKHAVEN SCIENCE ASSOCIATES
Look Ahead
• Place Storage Ring Tunnel Floor Slab at Utility & Vehicle Tunnels
– Allows backfill & continuity of Ring Storage Tunnel construction
• Construction of Underground Electric ductbanks• Installation of Steam Main to Project Site• Construct Selected Roadways & Parking Areas
– Control site drainage,– Facilitates better soil erosion control
24 BROOKHAVEN SCIENCE ASSOCIATES
Conclusion
• Continue to encourage pace of construction• At a safe rate
• Continue diligence of Inspections• Advance Construction Operations with an eye to Minimizing
Risks and Mitigating delays
