    Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!

    Serve the Lord with gladness;     Come before His presence with singing.

    Know that the Lord, He is God;

and not we ourselves;     

We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Shout Do you give thanks verbally? Do you give thanks loudly? Do you give thanks joyfully? Do you give thanks singing from the heart?Spurgeon wrote, “Our happy God should be worshipped by a happy people; a cheerful spirit is in keeping with his nature, his acts, and the gratitude which we should cherish for his mercies.”

Serve Focus on others and not on yourself! Remember you are ultimately serving God! Matthew 25:31-40

We thank God by feeding the hungry We thank God by welcoming strangers We thank God by clothing others We thank God by caring for the sick We thank God by visiting those in prison

Worship The Lord is the only true God! God is creator of all! Thanksgiving is directed to God alone! We are to come first with thanksgiving! Thanksgiving leads to praise! Thanksgiving helps focus on His attributes!

When we develop an attitude of gratitude our focus will be oriented to God and we will fulfill the command to “put on the mind of Christ”. Then we will truly have hearts of compassion and love for others being like Christ in all things!
