Product Introduction: Pantoprazole 40mg Gastro-resistant Tablets Pantoprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux). It works by

decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. This medication relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. It helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Pantoprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).

Pantoprazole, like other proton-pump inhibitors, blocks the enzyme in the wall of the stomach that produces acid. By blocking the enzyme, the production of acid is decreased, and this allows the stomach and esophagus to heal.

The FDA approved Pantoprazole in February 2000. PRESCRIBED FOR: Pantoprazole is approved for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD),

healing erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Like other PPI's it also is used for treating ulcers of the stomach and duodenum

Therapeutic indications Rabeprazole sodium tablets are indicated for the treatment of:

- Active duodenal ulcer, - Active benign gastric ulcer - Symptomatic erosive or ulcerative gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). - Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease long-term management (GORD maintenance) - Symptomatic treatment of moderate to very severe gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (symptomatic GORD) , - Zollinger-Ellison syndrome Posology and method of administration Adults/elderly:

Active duodenal ulcer and active benign gastric ulcer: The recommended oral dose for both active duodenal ulcer and active benign gastric ulcer is 20 mg to be taken once daily in the morning.

Most patients with active duodenal ulcer heal within four weeks. However a few patients may require an additional four weeks of therapy to achieve healing. Most patients with active benign gastric ulcer heal within six weeks. However again a few patients may require an additional six weeks of therapy to achieve healing.

Product Introduction: INDICATION : Omeprazole 20 mg capsules is used to treat the following conditions: In adults: 'Gastro-esophageal reflux disease' (GERD). This is where acid from the stomach escapes into the gullet (the tube which connects your throat to your stomach) causing pain, inflammation and heartburn. Omeprazole 40 mg: Omeprazole capsules are indicated for: Adults > • Treatment of duodenal ulcers, • Prevention of relapse of duodenal ulcers • Treatment of gastric ulcers, • Prevention of relapse of gastric ulcers, • In combination with appropriate antibiotics, Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication in peptic ulcer disease, • Treatment of NSAID-associated gastric and duodenal ulcers. • Prevention of NSAID-associated gastric and duodenal ulcers in patients at risk, • Treatment of reflux esophagitis, • Long-term management of patients with healed reflux esophagitis • Treatment of symptomatic gastro-esophageal reflux disease, • Treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome Treatment of gastric ulcers The recommended dose is 20 mg once daily. In most patients healing occurs within four weeks. For those patients who may not be fully healed after the initial course, healing usually occurs during a further four weeks treatment period. In patients with poorly responsive gastric ulcer 40 mg once daily is recommended and healing is usually achieved within eight weeks. Prevention of relapse of gastric ulcers For the prevention of relapse in patients with poorly responsive gastric ulcer the recommended dose is 20 mg once daily. If needed the dose can be increased to 40 mg once daily.

Product Introduction: Lansoprazole belongs to a group of drugs called proton pump inhibitors. It decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Lansoprazole is used to treat and prevent stomach and intestinal ulcers, erosive esophagitis (damage to the esophagus from stomach acid), and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Over-the-counter lansoprazole (Prevacid OTC) is used to treat frequent heartburn that happens 2 or more days per week. Prescription lansoprazole is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition in which backward flow of acid from the stomach causes heartburn and possible injury of the esophagus (the tube between the throat and stomach). Prescription lansoprazole is used to treat the symptoms of GERD, allow the esophagus to heal, and prevent further damage to the esophagus. Prescription lansoprazole is also used to treat ulcers (sores in the lining of the stomach or intestine), to prevent more ulcers from developing in people whose ulcers have already healed, and to decrease the risk that people who are taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) will develop ulcers. Prescription lansoprazole is also used to treat conditions where the stomach produces too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Prescription lansoprazole is also used in combination with other medications to treat and prevent stomach ulcers caused by a certain type of bacteria (H. pylori). Nonprescription (over-the-counter) lansoprazole is used to treat frequent heartburn (heartburn that occurs two or more days per week). Use of dose Prescription lansoprazole comes as a delayed-release (releases the medication in the intestine to prevent break-down of the medication by stomach acids) capsule and an orally disintegrating (dissolving) tablet to take by mouth. Nonprescription lansoprazole comes as a delayed-release (releases the medication in the intestine to prevent break-down of the medication by stomach acids) capsule to take by mouth. Prescription lansoprazole is usually taken once a day, before a meal. When taken in combination with other medications to eliminate H. pylori, prescription lansoprazole is taken twice a day (every 12 hours) or three times a day (every 8 hours), before a meal, for 10 to 14 days. Nonprescription lansoprazole is usually taken once a day, in the morning before eating for 14 days. Additional 14-day treatments may be repeated once every 4 months if needed. Take lansoprazole at around the same time(s) every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take lansoprazole exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often or for a longer time than prescribed by your doctor or stated on the package. Product Introduction: Indications and Usage for NAPSO (Naproxen Sodium 500 mg + Esomeprazole 20 mg) Vimovo is used in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis; osteoarthritis; rheumatoid arthritis; nsaid-induced ulcer prophylaxis and belongs to the drug class nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents. Prior to 30 weeks gestation: Risk cannot be ruled out during pregnancy. Starting at 30 weeks gestation: There is positive evidence of human fetal risk during pregnancy. Vimovo esomeprazole 20 mg / naproxen 500 mg is not a controlled substance under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA). Indications and Usage for NAPSO (Naproxen Sodium 375 mg + Esomeprazole 20 mg) NAPSO is a combination product that contains naproxen and esomeprazole. It is indicated for the relief of signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis and to decrease the risk of developing gastric ulcers in patients at risk of developing NSAID-associated gastric ulcers. NAPSO is not recommended for initial treatment of acute pain because the absorption of naproxen is delayed compared to absorption from other naproxen-containing products. Controlled studies do not extend beyond 6 months. .
