OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject : Grant of PRIS (0), (G) and (I) — Regarding.
The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department's O.M.
No.1/1(5)/2008-SCS/284 dated 05.05.2009, as amended / revised from time to time,
on the captioned subject.
2. As per the extant orders on the subject, the PRIS(0) and (G) are granted on
basic pay (i.e. pay in the pay band plus grade pay as per 6 th CPC) and PRISM is
granted in the form of Variable increments to S&T personnel as indicated in the
Appendix to TC&TSC, BARC Note No.TC/1631/2009/40618 dated 05.05.2009,
endorsed vide DAE Note No.1/1(5)/2008-SCS/309 dated 12.05.2009 .
3. Consequent on acceptance of 7 th CPC recommendations by M/o Finance, the
Department vide OM No.8/4/2016-9894 dated 29.07.2016 has adopted the Revised
Pay Structure(Pay Matrix) w.e.f. 01.01.2016.
4. Accordingly, it has been decided in the Department to adopt new Revised Pay
Structure (Pay Matrix) of 7 th Central Pay Commission (CPC) for payment of PRIS(0)
& (G) w.e.f. 01.01.2016. As regards, PRISM to S&T personnel, the value of one
increment for drawal of PRISM will be as per the table indicated in Annexure-1 as
recommended by Trombay Council in its 2006 th Meeting held on 07.03.2017, w.e.f.
01.01.2016, subject to maximum ceiling of Rs.25,700 per month to an employee.

5. All other terms, conditions and clarifications already issued by the Department
from time to time on the subject shall remain unaltered.
6. Before disbursing the arrears towards PRIS(0), (G) and (I) w.e.f 01.01.2016,
the Drawing & Disbursing Officers shall take an undertaking from an employee as
per the Annexure-2 enclosed herewith.
7. The expenditure involved in making payment as per New Pay Matrix of 7 th
CPC shall be met from within the budget of the respective Units and debited to the
respective "salary head". Before making the payment, the Units should ensure that
the budget provision exists.
8. Separate orders will be issued in respect of the Public Sector Undertakings
and Aided Institutions under the Department.
9. This issues with the approval of Secretary, DAE.

UNDERTAKING
I hereby undertake that in the event of any orders issued by Government of
India contrary to the decision conveyed vide DAE OM No.21/5/2016-SCS/ 3931
dated 20.03.2017 regarding payment of PRIS(0), (G) and (I) as per the Revised Pay
