Zlatibor, about 20 km from the center of the town of Zlatibor. It is known to the general public because of a 20 m high waterfall of the same name, which is about one kilometer downstream from the spring. Monitoring of the spring began in 1995 and continued until October 2004. The average discharge of the spring during the period of monitoring was 126 l/s. The highest daily discharge was recorded on 6 April 2000 and amounted to 610 l/s, whereas the lowest was only 10 l/s (August, September and October 2003). The ratio was therefore Qmax : Qmin = 60 : 1. The highest discharges are typical of spring months (March-May), and the lowest mostly occur in August. Generally speaking, the discharge regime of the spring is directly conditional upon precipitation and snowmelt. In addition to an assessment of the discharge regime of this karst spring, the paper presents an analysis of water balance equation components for the entire study period and a typical dry and wet year.
