Grand Knight’s Column:

GK Michael Harrigan

Gail and I extend our sincerest best wishes to the families of Windsor Council 1453 for the Christ-mas season and on into the New Year. These trying times have been hard on us all but may the Birthday of our Saviour fill us all with hope for the future and bring joy and peace to our inner lives .

Our virtual meetings by Zoom have been going well and I encourage all members to join in. We send out the dates and times of the meetings ahead of time and include the information needed to log in. I have also been emailing Council updates and infor-mation about the Knights as I receive them and of course Bro. Bob Burns does a great job with the Knight Life to keep members in the know. Another valuable resource for members wishing to keep in touch is our website. Bro. Ray Dupuis keeps it up to date so if you want information on the Council check out the website at http://uknight.org/CouncilSite/index.asp?CNO=1453

A special announcement in regards to the Knight Life can be found elsewhere in this issue please read it.

In closing may everyone enjoy a great, safe holiday season and I hope to see as many as possible at our meetings.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Stay safe and Keep Christ in Christmas

District Report:

DD Jesmond P. Tabone DD # 39

Brother Knights, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! As we start a new year some of us may be thinking of resolutions. Those statements of what we are going to do to better ourselves this coming year. Most of the time they are focused on ourselves and do not have to do with our relations with others, such as eating better, doing more exercise, taking up reading or whatever we want to focus on. I would like to provide some ideas for each of the coming months so that we may look beyond ourselves as we resolve to make the world around us better by trying to be Christ to one another. January: I resolve that as I march and pray for life, I will open myself to understand that being for life cannot end at the birth of a child. February: I resolve that I will not judge another only by something I see like the color of their skin, but I will get to know them by the quality of their character. March: I resolve that instead of giving up coffee, desserts, candy, or some other thing during Lent, I will instead try to elimi-nate harsh words, judgments and hate from myself. April: I resolve that in celebrating the resurrection of Christ, I will use my words to bring life to others and not use them to destroy or even kill the spirit within others. May: I resolve that I will respect what my mother taught me in how to share, be respectful to others and if I do not have a nice thing to say I will not say anything. June: I resolve that as children are on vacation from school, I will try to be childlike for Jesus said they will enter the king-dom of God, and stop being childish in my actions and words. July: I resolve that in celebrating the freedoms we enjoy in this country I will respect those freedoms even when someone believes differently than I do, as many lives were given to ensure everyone has the same freedoms. August: I resolve that as I tire of the hot weather here, I will not complain as I can the weather anyway, and instead I will pray for all those that suffer through worse weather situa-tions and natural disasters. ’ t change September: I resolve that as school starts, I will seek to continue to learn and ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom. October: I resolve that I will not say the rosary, but I will pray it and try to give my life entering into the mysteries of Jesus and trying to be more like Our Lord and Mary, our mother. November: I resolve that I will pray for our deceased family, friends and those who gave the ultimate price to help secure our freedom and for the common good of all Canadians December: I resolve that I will truly celebrate Advent with the wonder of a child and that I will celebrate not merely Christ-mas Day but the whole season of Christmas. As we know this Christmas season will not be the same as they have been in the past, but we must remember that Christ is the reason for the season. On behalf of the District Team, my wife and sons and myself we wish you all a safe and Happy Christmas and New Year. God Bless Jesmond P Tabone District Deputy 39

Council 1453 Meetings

December 16th Virtual on ZOOM

January 20th Virtual on ZOOM

Please attend !!

Windsor Council 1453 and KADEC, their building corporation, have once again donated to Local char-ities . The spirit of Christmas has traditionally, for a number of years, manifested itself by our helping others, as Blessed Father Michael J. McGiveny showed us. This Year, our hearts open up to Good-felloows, St. Vincent de Paul and Street help $2500 ea. Our Lady of Guadaloupe House is getting $2500 and Julian Gaudet House is getting $1500. And Im-maculate Conception School up to $1000 for their charities.

KADEC also provides for our FREE Christmas party, and regularly support our causes. Thanks

Over the years the Knight Life has been a valued

part of our council. However the printed version is

becoming quite expensive and problematic getting it

to our members doors. Electronic communication is

much easier to manage. To that end we would ask all

those who receive a printed version to consider re-

ceiving it by email. To due this please provide Editor

Bob with your email address. Those who really re-

quire a printed version please call Bro. Bob and advise

him and he will continue to send out hard copies.

However if Bob does not receive a phone call we will

assume you are not interested in receiving any more

copies and will remove you from our mailing list.

Bob’s contact info is as follows:

Thank you for your consideration to this matter.
