You can use the Search command to locate a file on your computer.
If you can’t remember where you saved a document, Windows makes it easy to find a file or folder.
To find a document, you can click the Start button on the Windows taskbar and click on Search…
The SearchResults window appears.
1818
Key the name . . .(or part of a name) of what you are looking for in the box below “All or part of the file name:” – the example shows “Mugg.”
Click Search – your computer will look on your hard disk(or a disk you choose) to find any file whose name contains “Mugg.”
1919
Any document whose name contains what you are searching for appears in a list on the right side of the Search Results window -– the list shows you which folder contains the file.
You can double-click the name of the file to open it. In this case, the second file would be opened in Notepad since it is text.
You can now work with your document: changing it, printing it, re-saving it – and then close the Notepad window and the Search Results window by clicking their Close buttons.

In most software, the F1 function key opens the Help feature.
No matter where you are working in Windows, help is never far away.
