Latin RhythmsSambaHera brings the sparkle of the Rio carnival through our delightful Brazilian samba dancers. Samba is at its all time high when the world is focusing on Brazil for major events such as the World Cup in 2014 and The Olympic games in 2016. The Rio carnival theme has increased in popularity and adds a true summer party feel to events.

Our samba dancers are Brazilian born professionals or have been trained at a very high level by Hera Dance's director who is originally from Rio de Janeiro. We combine originality and great technique with the Brazilian carnival spirit. Our Samba performances are filled with bright colours, dazzling glimmer, a powerful beat and a true showgirl feel in a traditional Latin American rhythm.

Capoeira Another one of our Brazilian treats, capoeira is a martial art which combines elements of dance and music, brought to Brazil by the

thAfrican slaves in the 16 century. Capoeira is nowadays not only an incredible spectacle, but also an active exporter of the Brazilian culture all over the world.

The capoeira performance is extremely eye catching for its movements which involve contortionism and acrobatics, and also for the way it involves the crowd who can take part and learn a few tricks. A good ice breaker, it is the perfect start to any event as it is a highly interactive and impressive performance which creates an amazing vivid atmosphere.

Arabian NightsBelly DancingOne of our most charming and enchanting performances, belly dancing is a millennial art descended from dances in early Egypt. A mysterious and delicate act, but at the same time strong and fierce, belly dancing is extremely entertaining. We offer different styles of belly dancing such as the traditional tribal dance, the veil dance, the seven veil dance, the sword dance and the fire belly dance. It is also possible to combine different styles for an even more powerful effect.

Snake CharmingThe one act to certainly intrigue guests and create a buzz, our snake charmers are highly qualified professionals who provide a safe experience and entertaining tribal belly dance performance with one or more snakes at a time.

Burlesque & cabaret chair danceReviving the golden days of Hollywood glamour and authentic showgirls. Our Burlesque act is a true tribute to the allure the perpetuated between the 1920's and the 1950's. Our burlesque dancers are genuine artists that aim to revive that class and beauty and entertain guests with a compelling performance.

For a higher impact performance which still overflows with glamour from the golden days of cinema we recommend our cabaret chair dance which aims to replicate the fabulous shows of Liza Minnelli incorporating burlesque dancing with acrobatics on a chair.

Pole Artth

Pole Art dates as far back as the 12 century where it was performed as a fertility celebration. Far from the concept of the popularised pole dance, pole art is a true artistic high impact performance which portrays strength, flexibility, contortionism, rhythmic gymnastics and acrobatics in a feminine and beautiful manner emanating class and power. This act is suitable to any event as our equipment has the latest technology and does not require ceiling or floor attachment and neither does it cause any damage to the venue. Our pole artists are qualified professionals and offer a personalised service giving the client the choice of music and attire being open to themes and ideas.

Burlesque & Cabaret

FirePlaying with fire is one of Hera's favourite artifices. The highest impact act in our portfolio, our fire performances can spark up any occasion being an impressive start to a function or the perfect way to finish a successful event, leaving a long lasting impression on guests.

Fire dancing, spinning and breathing are a performing art which involve the manipulation of objects on fire involving juggling, rhythmic gymnastics and baton twirling. All our fire artists are qualified professionals who can provide risk assessments and are licensed to perform with fire according to health and safety regulations.

Fire dancing roots lie in the ancient Samoan Islands in the south pacific ocean, and it has evolved from being solely cultural rituals to a modern day beautiful and striking performing art. Hera offers a wide portfolio of fire acts including fire dancers, fire belly dancers, fire breathers, fire spinners, fire ancient martial arts acts and also angle grinders.

Workshops & Masterclasses

Corporate team building is increasing in popularity as Human Resources studies demonstrate employee engagement and motivation increase profitability and productivity. Team building workshops are also proven to have a positive effect on working environments and enhance team work and co-operation.

Hera Dance provides bespoke specifically designed workshops which create not only a fun filled and exciting experience but also a perfect way to motivate teams to bond. We provide a wide range of workshops which are available for team building events and corporate days out. These can be customised to the client's needs and can be also followed by a performing act.

The team building packages consist of a two hour workshop with props, where the Hera instructor teaches entertaining choreography. In the first hour there will be an introduction to the selected dance style, health and safety guidelines, warm up and class. The second hour consists of team practice and having fun with props adding personal touches to the routine. The workshop usually ends with a dance off or group performance or team competitions.

Themed events, special requests and ideas can also be catered for on request. The dance styles available for corporate events workshops are Brazilian samba, Belly Dancing, Pole Art, Burlesque & Cabaret Chair and Capoeira.
