    Dear All,We have received the drawing No. TM2500 Pile Layout Plan - Mini Pile Alternative

    Drawings today, 22nd June 2011 (Transmittal no. C-0042). Previously, we have received un-

    official drawing of Pile Layout Plan on 13th June 2011. We are surprised with the number of

    minipiles in those new drawing.

    The drawing shown the number of minipiles in Auxiliary, Inlet and exhaust are 15 points

    in each block (Total 45 points).

    Refer to the TM2500 data from GE, the weight of equipment are:Main Trailer 210 lbs = 95.25 ton

    Auxiliary : 46 lbs = 20.86 ton

    Inlet : 46 lbs = 20.86 ton

    Exhaust : 46 lbs = 18.14 ton

    Self weight of pile cap concrete = 40 ton

    Refer to the Capwap result Summaries of PDA test data in LM2500 :

    Average bearing capacity : 79.9 ton Average Friction Capacity : 56.2 ton

    Average end bearing capacity : 23.7 ton

    Refer to the Pile Producer (PT. Tripalindo) brochure, the bearing capacity of 1 pile is 40 ton. If we

    use 15 piles, it will support 15 x 40 ton = 600 ton

    If we calculate in very roughly, the total bearing capacity in one block from 15 point of

    minipiles is about 15 x 79.9 = 1,198 ton.

    Those bearing capacity is very strong to support the equipment which has only 20.86

    tons (exclude concrete weight 40 ton). Please consider this roughly logical analysis to get

    economical construction for our project.

    In our opinion, we consider that the composition of piles drawing that we received on 13th

    June 2011 is enough. We will provide the engineering calculation to support it.
