This will be all 4 players first trip to the Triple-A All-Star game, while Taylor and Noriega were was elected to stato for the PCL. This marks the first season since 2001 the Rainiers will feature four players in the annual contest that pits the PCLs beagainst standouts from the International League.Franklin was previously selected as a Midwest League (2010) and Southern Leagu(2012) All-Star Games in 2012.     COACHING STAFF: Roy Howellis the 29th manager in Tacoma franchise history. Howell is in his third season coaching in the Marineorganization after two seasons as the hitting coach at Class-A Advanced High Desert. His managerial resume includes 3 seasons at sho

    PETERSON PROMOTED TO AA JACKSON: INF D.J. Petersonwas promoted from A High Desert to AA Jackson on June 24. In order make room for Peterson on the Jackson roster, INF Mickey Wiswall was released from his minor league player contract. In 65 games wthe Mavericks, Peterson hit .326 (89x273) with 51 runs scrored, 23 doubles, 1 triple, 18 home runs, 73 RBI, 23 walks and 6 stolen base

    At the time of his promotion, he ranked among the California League leaders in nearly every offensive category, including sluggipercentage (1st/.615), total bases (1st/168), RBI (1st/71), extra-base hits (T1st/42), home runs (2nd/18), doubles (3rd/23), hits (T5th/8and average (6th/.326). Since May 8, Peterson leads all minor league players with 57 RBI, while ranking 2nd with 16 home runs. Petersohit 16 of his 18 home runs with High Desert over 37 games (5/11-6/23).
