We earn 50% Commission on everything we sell. This is the same commission for everyone in the company, from new consultant to National Sales Director.
Say you did a Party of $300, your gross profit would be half, or $150. Not bad for a couple hours of work!

1. Review Bea’s “How to be a Master Booker” on channelbea.com or view in the Millslagle Area App "Training Center” #5 (13 minutes).
2. Highlight your date book where you are available to hold your first parties.
3. Review this sample script and common objections to booking.
4. Use your contact list and begin calling. Put excitement in your voice! “Hi Nina! This is Gail. Do you have a minute? (let her respond)“Let me tell you why I am calling. I’m starting my own business teaching skin care with Mary Kay Cosmetics because I ______, and as part of my training, I’ll be conducting ____ parties in the next two weeks. Nina, I really respect your opinion, and I could use your help.”“Is there any reason why you couldn’t be one of my first hostesses? All you do is invite 4 or 5 friends over for a free facial and makeover and I’ll do the rest. It’ll be fun! I’ll even have a special gift for you just for holding the party.” (let her respond)“Which is best for you, Monday or Wednesday evening?” (let her respond) “Is 7:00 or 7:30 better?” (let her respond) “That’s ______ at _____, right?”“WHO would you like to invite? Who can you think of… friends? co-workers? neighbors? Let’s write down the names” “HOW would you like to invite them, text or email? I’ll create the invitation and send it to you so you can forward to your guest list. Of course, you will want to call or text them to encourage them to come as well. It’s going to be so much FUN trying new products and colors!
“After your guests confirm, I’d like to call them and ask them some questions about their skin type so I’ll have the right samples with me. Let me run through the questions with you… (read questions on Customer Profile Card, or simply ask, is your skin normal/dry or combination/oily? What one thing would you want to change about your skin?)
Continue with “I’ll be sending you some Hostess Information showing you what you can earn for holding a party.. What’s a good time for me to talk to you next, ____ or _____?
Use this follow up call to excite her about the party, the fun, the products, the makeup tips they are going to learn and the discount she gets for being the Hostess! In case she or her guests ask, emphasize that you will be doing instructional facials, custom foundation match, and 5 minute makeover.
5. Follow-up• Deliver or mail a Hostess Packet to every
Hostess• Review the Packet with her on the phone
and encourage her to send her guest list and phone numbers. Excite her about the party!
• Call and profile each guest. Excite them about coming!
• Call the Hostess back and excite her about everyone who is coming, the fun you’re going to have, and her Hostess Credit.
6. Shoot for the moon! Keep booking until you have 10 or more Hostesses on the books!
