Early September Thalys announced that they selected a consortium existing out of Nokia Siemens Networks, Telenet and 21Net to implement internet onboard of their trains.

Thalys is the high speed train operator traveling at speed of 320km/h between Amsterdam/Paris/koln:
They have a fleet of 26 high speed trains which will be refurbished in 2008. Also in 2008 the high speed line connecting Brussels to Amsterdam and Brussels to Köln will be opened. The travel time will be around 1h and half.
In line with this ambitious program Thalys also wanted to offer new services to their customers. As the Thalys CEO stated:
