Data Collection Overview
� The Nastar WCDMA supports following types of data:
� Project parameter
� Configuration parameter (MML)
� RNC performance data
� CHR data
� Interference data (RTWP)
� Coverage data (IOS)

Data Collection Tool
� The “GENEX Nastar data collection tool” is used for network
data collection.
� The data collection tool provides the functions of filtering,
collecting, and compressing the data .
� The data collection tool can collect data from BAM server,
M2000, and other FTP server
� This tool also uploads the collected data on to other FTP server.

RTWP Data Collection
� RTWP is the UL interference and load indicator for each cell
� The M2000 can start daily NodeB tracing of RTWP. The RTWP
tracing data is saved in the memory of the NodeB
� RTWP Data is also exported by M2000 Terminal manually

� There are 3 major steps to obtain the RTWP trace data from
M2000:
� Starting tracing
� Uploading data to M2000 server
� Downloading data to local terminal

� To start the tracing, perform the following steps:
� Open iManager M2000 Mobile Element Management System (MML
Command) window
� Select the NodeB to be traced
� Run the STR RTWPTTST command. Set Detection Type as AUTO.

� To upload data, perform the following steps:
� Log in to the M2000, choose Software > Browse > NE
� Select the NodeB to download the RTWP data
� Choose Other > RTWP routine test log
� Click RTWP routine test log and select Upload to Server

� To download the data, perform the following steps:
� Choose Software > Browse > Server
� Select the NodeB to download the RTWP data
� Click RTWP routine test log and select Download to Local

IOS Data Collection
� IOS means “information of subscribers”
� The IOS data can be obtained from the BAM server
� The IOS tracing of the LMT contains some important data during calls.
By default, however, the IOS tracing event does not contain detailed
coverage information.

� To obtain the IOS data, perform the following steps:
� Start LMT for the specific RNC
� Choose Maintenance > Service > Trace Management > Interface
Trace Task > IOS
� Enter values in Calls count and Cell ID in the IOS Tracing window
� Select FORWARD_POWER_CONTROL_DATA and
PROPAGATION_DELAY in the IOS Tracing window
� Click More Info
� Select All in RAM Traffic Classes, 2,000 in RRC (MS), and 4,000 in UE

Analysis Specifications
� Data import rate
� Three minutes are required to load the original-granularity
performance data measured at intervals of 30 minutes from 500
NEs in one day.
� Five minutes are required to load the CHR data of 10,000 calls in
one day.
� Two and a half minutes are required to load the MML data.
